Each week for 10 weeks, members of the GWA Communications Committee are sharing creative presentations about some very useful GWA resources that you may not even be aware of. You’ll be able to see these presentations on GWA’s social media channels as well as every Tuesday here on the blog. Be sure to check back each week for a glimpse of a unique take on some of the wonderful resources available to all our members.

Today’s presentation features a narrated PowerPoint by GWA Communications Committee member Elizabeth Clark about how YOU can take advantage of the GWA Legal Assist Program and learn more about media law.

Week 6 – The GWA Legal Assist Program

GWA offers legal assistance to all members through an experienced legal team that’s available to answer questions and offer assistance and insight on a variety of issues related to the communications trade in this digital age, including contracts and publishing rights. In this video, GWA member Elizabeth Clark walks you through the process and also informs you of how you can access existing sample contracts available on the GWA website. She also offers helpful information on safeguarding your rights and resources you can use to develop a base knowledge of media law.
