Top 10 GWA Member Resources – #5

GWA

By Cauleen Viscoff

Each week for 10 weeks, members of the GWA Communications Committee are sharing creative presentations about some very useful GWA resources that you may not even be aware of. You’ll be able to see these presentations on GWA’s social media channels as well as every Tuesday here on the blog. Be sure to check back each week for a glimpse of a unique take on some of the wonderful resources available to all our members.

Today’s presentation features a podcast with GWA member Cauleen Viscoff about her experience with the GWA Power Circles program.

Week 5 – The GWA Power Circles Program

Urban Dictionary says a Power Circle is a group of people dedicated to each other’s success. Like any circle, a Power Circle is a closed shape, with an interior and an exterior — those inside the circle are there because they’re willing to learn and share. The GWA Power Circle program consists special interest groups of 5 to 10 members who meet regularly via the phone or internet to share ideas and inspiration around a certain topic. Participating in one or more Power Circles can help you stay focused on your goals and learn from other professionals in the garden communications arena. GWA member Cauleen Viscoff is a participant in three different GWA Power Circles, and in this short podcast, she talks about how valuable her experience has been and how Power Circle members help each other.

GWA offers Power Circles for a broad diversity of topics, including book publishing, public speaking, marketing, photography, producing a newsletter, and so on. It’s free for members, and it’s simple to join. You can learn more about the Power Circle program and sign up here (insert hyperlink: https://www.gardenwriters.org/powercircles). Cauleen also welcomes you to get in touch with her about the program. You can find her email in the GWA member directory.

  1. I love our “monetize my blog” Power Circle – we’ve been chatting twice monthly for over 8 months now and getting lots of ideas vetted and actions implemented.
