Top 10 GWA Member Resources – #8

pexels-photo-315653.jpegEach week for 10 weeks, members of the GWA Communications Committee are sharing creative presentations about some very useful GWA resources that you may not even be aware of. You’ll be able to see these presentations on GWA’s social media channels as well as every Tuesday here on the blog. Be sure to check back each week for a glimpse of a unique take on some of the wonderful resources available to all our members.

Week #8 is a unique video about what it takes to be a Garden Communicator in today’s multi-tasking, multi-media world.

GWA members have so much to learn from each other. Wouldn’t it be great to get a glimpse into the lives of our peers, to learn how they set goals and see them to fruition? This video consists of a series of Skype interviews with three different garden communicators, Nan Sterman, Steve Biggs, and Amy Andrychowicz. Filmed over the course of an entire year, the video takes a deep dive into their lives and examines what it takes to have a fruitful career in this industry. Watch these three dynamic communicators set goals for the year and then work toward success. This video was presented as a break-out session at the 2014 annual GWA symposium in Pittsburgh. It’s all about the benefits of goal setting, hard work, and follow-thru.
